The Royal Grenada Police Force is encouraging the nation’s students to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 health and safety practices, as the battle against the novel coronavirus continues unabated.

Specifically, the RGPF is enforcing the Health guideline of wearing of face masks or face coverings, and urging students as far as possible to have their hands sanitized and avoid large gatherings.

These are defined as globally-accepted protocols that can help prevent one from being infected by the dreaded novel coronavirus.

The raging pandemic has hindered the education system here from normal operations since March this year.

Now that schools are taking the liberty to function, Police are advising students not to let down their guards.

CPL Davis was speaking on Wee Fm’s midmorning program with Mikey Hutchinson.

Another officer sends a strong signal that wearing of masks is legislated mandatory.

He goes further to appeal to bus conductors, as prevalent day-to-day participant in the commuter sector, to exercise vigilance and be on the look-out.

He says that will only take effect with the strict maintenance of Health protocols and further noted that dialogue is being held to revise the existing protocols for quarantine and for testing visitors to our shores.

The protocols will focus on testing upon entry and quarantine conditions.
