The National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA), has recognised thirteen (13) children of employees, for their achievements in the 2020 Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA).

Every year following the exam, NAWASA organises a grand ceremony to honour and award successful students of employees but due to COVID-19 precautions, this year’s ceremony was cancelled.

While the Authority was forced to cancel the ceremony, students still received the usual support of three hundred dollars ($300.00) and other supplies, to help defray some of the educational expenses associated with transitioning from the primary to secondary level.

Priding itself on encouraging educational development, NAWASA has been consistently supporting children of employees who are successful at the CPEA exams, since 2003.

Mrs. Pansy Ventour, head of the Human Resource Department, which has responsibility for the awards; expressed delight at being able to support the students especially with the current challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The total number of students benefiting through NAWASA’s CPEA Awards to date, now stands at 146.

The students will be attending secondary schools in various parishes throughout the island. The NAWASA family extends congratulations to the awardees on their achievements and wish them God’s blessings in their future endeavours.
