Tomorrow marks the official start of the Hurricane Season 2021.
Weather experts have forecast that it will be an above-normal active season.
Earlier this month, the Atlantic recorded its first-named storm of the 2021 season, after a sub-tropical storm developed north-east of Bermuda.
It’s the seventh year in a row that a named storm developed in the Atlantic before the official start of the season.
The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA), this morning held a virtual News conference highlighting the outlook for the Caribbean.

She says the message this yeyar continues to be one of “preparedness”.
In battling the COVID-19 pandemic during the hurricane season, CDEMA’s Executive Director says individuals who will need to go to shelters, must be prepared to follow all COVID-19 protocols.
