The 2024 April assizes got underway in Grenada today, with some 79 matters down for hearing.
It represents a remarkable decrease in cases, since the May Assizes 2012.
The April 2024 figure is nearly a 90% decline over the past 5 years.
A number of cases occupy the list of the assizes for the month of April, including sexual crimes accounting for the vast majority.
He gave a run-down indicating the decline in cases.
Pinnock says his office is grateful for the services of various stakeholders which have led to the reduction of cases.
