A total of 23 awards were dished out last night by the Media Workers Association of Grenada (MWAG) in their 12th Annual Media Awards ceremony.
The Award for Black Excellence went to Nisha Paul.
Tonnia St. Louis Lawrence secured four awards for Best News Story, Best Tourism Story, Best Entertainment Story, and Best Court Reporting.
Shere-Ann Noel received three, for Best Human-Interest Story, Best Business Story and Best Interview.
Beverly Telesford also received three awards:- Best Political News Story, Best Radio Anchor, and Best Parliament Story.
Best Feature Story went to Annette Moore
Best Health Story Linda Straker
Best Agriculture Story Rena Pierre-Thomas
Best Anchor, Kenroy Baptiste
Best Radio Personality, Aruna Neptune
Best TV Personality Lexann Fletcher
A Special Award for Powerful Women in Media entitled the “Bernadette B’ Conell Celestine award” went to Nikita Hosten.
NAWASA Award for Best Climate Change, Mitigation and Environment Story went to Troy Gill.
Best Current Affairs and Feature Programme – BEYOND THE HEADLINES
Best Talk Show – G’MORNING GRENADA
Best DJ -went to Ronald Olive- Mix Master Brent
And the people’s choice award went to Calistra Farrier.
Qualifying entries must have been published or broadcast or have received wide public dissemination in radio, television, print, or online, within the period September 17th, 2022, to September 17th, 2023.
