Education Minister Emmalin Pierre, is commending some 31 early childhood education teachers for graduating out of a Certificate Programme on Early childhood Education.

The programme at the University of the West Indies Open Campus was conducted for 1 year.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony yesterday, the Education Minister urged the teachers to think of how they can utilize what they have learnt to benefit the education system.

Chief Education Officer, Angela Findlay, expressed her pleasure at the achievements of the teachers and advised them to continue their professional development.

The programme was conducted at a cost of more than 150 thousand EC dollars.
