In publishing its covid updated report last evening the Ministry of Health stated that some 83 new confirmed positive cases have been recorded.
It brings the active cases to 761 and the cumulative confirmed cases to 5,434, and that is from the time the first case of the virus was detected here on the 22nd of March last year, off which there have been 4,511 recoveries.
In the latest update 209 persons are accounted for as new recoveries.
Over the period there have been 5 deaths, which bring the virus death toll to 162.
Meantime, 62 persons are currently being hospitalized.
Considering the COVID vaccination programme, the Ministry of Health says 25,283 persons in Grenada are fully vaccinated and 9,921 are partially vaccinated…first dose recipients.
