Prime Minister, DR. the Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell, is to address the Nation this evening.
A release dispatched earlier today indicated it comes on account of an emergency Cabinet meeting this morning.
The meeting was called to discuss containment measures as Grenada faces a significant increase in COVID-19 cases, many of which have not had any recent travel history.
Dr. Mitchell will provide more details on the country’s current epidemiological atmosphere and outline the Government’s plans to address the current situation.
At the Post Cabinet Briefing this week, Health officials brought the Nation up-to-speed with a range of COVID infections which are constantly being monitored.
The Nation was urged to take stock.
The Prime Minister’s address will be broadcast simultaneously at 8 o’clock tonight on broadcast entities Nationwide, as well as social media platforms.
