The Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development, Religious Affairs and Information will begin distributing eLearning Devices to all Form one students attending public secondary schools in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique from Monday, Oct. 11.
Parents are reminded that payment of administrative fees for the devices are to be made at the Inland Revenue Department or its sub-offices island wide. Parents with children who are part of the School Books Programme are required to pay EC$25.00, while those who are not must pay a sum of EC$50.00. In order to collect the devices, parents must present the receipt to the distribution centre assigned to their child’s secondary school.
They must also have in their possession a valid photo ID and will be required to sign the eLearning Device User Agreement.
Due to the restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, parents will be advised by their child/children’s school of the allotted time for device distribution, which will be done based on the student’s last name.
Virtual learning is ongoing in keeping with the regulations set out by the Ministry of Health.
