Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Grenada, Reverend Dr. Osbert James, is offering his counseling service free-of-charge to Grenadians that may be in need of support in coping with various effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a release, Rev. James says the idea has come about given that last Sunday, October 10, was World Mental Health Day, it’s viewed as the right time to check on each other to ensure that citizens are all able to cope.
He is offering counseling free of charge to all interested.
The release says the counseling service is part of the church community outreach to the Grenadian community on account of the COVID-19 community spread that has challenged livelihoods.
The general view is that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a major effect on life in Grenada.
With more than 18 months since the start of the pandemic globally, Reverend Dr. James says it’s even more important that mental health care is available to assist people with coping during these uncertain times.
Rev. Dr. Osbert James reassures Grenadians that there is still reason to be optimistic.
