Grenada is to know in due time the decision as it concerns the reopening of school and educational operations as far as in-person classes are concerned.
The recent spike in the Coronavirus here forced the Ministry of Education to delay the normal reopening and to revert to the virtual classroom, which, according to reports, has its challenges in several circles.
This decision is being reviewed.
The Minister of Education, Emmalin Pierre, says while the authority rests with her as it relates to making a decision, in view of the COVID pandemic, she has to depend on advice from relevant authorities, which among others includes the Ministry of Health.
Over the past few days the Education system is reported to have lost some three souls and the Minister of Education extends her condolences.
One of the individuals is Giovanni De Gannes who was second in the International Brain B competition three years ago.
Education Minister, Emmalin Pierre, was guest today on the TV Programme, “Perspectives” with Brenda Baptiste and the notion of the new active case numbers declining that would help in the school reopening process and vaccination, general formed part of the conversation.
On the issue of mandatory vaccination, the Education Minister had this to say.
