Grenada is eagerly anticipating that the country’s tourism will get back into full swing, with expectation of some means of operation getting to life, with optimism of better management of the COVID situation here, as well as worldwide.
The country is this month observing what’s labeled as Caribbean Tourism Awareness Month, under the theme, “Caribbean Come Back”.
During the occasion, officials in the sector will be focusing on fostering awareness and education on the importance of tourism, its linkages and the benefits that can be derived culturally, socially, environmentally and economically.
Tourism Minister, Dr. Clarice Modeste, in an address on the occasion, speaks of activities that will be undertaken that put things in perspective especially with strategies and designs for the industry in the new normal.
Dr. Modeste sees the time being opportune for prudent thinking in ensuring tourism plays its part in the country’s growth process.
