The Ministry Of Education says it’s using the limitations presented by COVID-19 to create new opportunities for schools and students, to participate in this year’s Child Month celebrations.

Child Month which is usually held in October was pushed back to this month, due to recent spike in COVID-19 cases on the island.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Kevin Andall, says given the limitations the Ministry has engaged schools and churches to find creative ways to ensure participation and the message is received by the general public.

Andall says the theme for this year’s celebration focuses on the importance of quality education and care for children, while promoting their health and safety during this COVID period.
