Project manager at sunrise Construction, Desmond BJ John, says they’re feverishly working to have the River Road area open again to two-way traffic.
The situation as it is currently is on account of an unexpected landslip that occurred during the course of the month, where work is continuing on the St. John’s River Flood Mitigation Project.
The landslip subsequently caused the diversion of vehicles from the motorway.
The problem at the slippage area is being corrected and in due time, the road will be open to two-way traffic.
This, John says, could come on stream in a matter of days.
