Grenada joined the rest of the world in celebration of World Social Work Day.
It’s a day put aside for social workers and others in the social services sector, to celebrate their achievements as well as to raise awareness and support for the important role that social workers play in the lives of children, families and communities facing adversity.
The theme for this year’s observance is “Co-building a New Eco-Social World: Leaving No One Behind”.
The theme presents a vision and action plan to create new global values, policies and practices that develop trust, security and confidence for all people and the sustainability of the planet.
The day’s observance enforces the idea that all are connected, with an outlook that depends on every person’s involvement in building a socially just future.
