The National Organizing Committee has agreed to reschedule the launch of Grenada’s 50th anniversary of Independence from October 19th to October 31st.
The announcement was made this afternoon by Chairperson of the National Organizing Committee Dr. Wendy Crawford at a media briefing.
Dr. Crawford explained that the decision was taken after extensive discussions was held in several quarters on why October 19th should not be chosen as the launch date for the independence activity.
Dr. Crawford expressed gratitude to those who shared their concerns and contacted the committee regarding a date change.
