GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES AN INCENTIVES REGIME REVIEW COMMITTEE

A series of consultations is set to commence tomorrow as the Grenada Government embarks on an initiative to foster an enabling environment for business activity within its transformative and key sectors.

According to a release incentives are currently provided to some sectors to benefit many local businesses, especially micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.

A special committee has been appointed to review the current incentives regime and make recommendations on how it can be improved to be competitive and attractive on a global basis to the benefit of all business owners local, foreign and in the Diaspora.

The Incentives Regime Review Committee will be holding consultations with all interested parties who’ve expressed an interest and will be in all parishes, including Carriacou and Petite Martinique, individuals are invited to come out and share their views on this issue.

The consultation begins in St. Patrick tomorrow Friday at the St. Patrick’s Anglican school beginning at 6 in the evening.

The next consultation will be Monday October 16th in St. George at the St. Paul’s Government school. Tuesday October 17th in St. John at the St. Johns Anglican School, Wednesday at the St. David’s R.C School in Bellevue, and Friday 20th at the St. Andrew Methodist School.

It continues the next Monday October 23rd, the consultation moves to the Sister Isles of Carriacou and Petite Martinique at the Hillsborough government school and the final session will be held in St. Marks’ on Tuesday October 24th at the Bonaire Government school all consultations begins at 6 in the evening.
