The House Of Representatives today passed legislation eliminating the yearly license fee for lawyers and providing a new few structure.
They are now called upon to pay a practicing certificate fee, moving away from the yearly 1,000 dollars.
Legislation to this effect was piloted by the Leader of Government Business, Phillip Telesford, who noted that the new fee structure takes into account the number of years of practice.
Opposition MP, Peter David, also sees it as an equitable proposal.
