On Friday 28 February, 2025, officers attached to Drug Squad carried out a major operation at the St. George’s Port, located on Port Highway, Tanteen, St. George. During the search, authorities uncovered a total of twenty-nine (29) packages of cannabis (Kush) concealed within a barrel.
The cannabis weighed a total of 18,735 grams, with an estimated street value of Three Hundred and Seventy-Four Thousand, Seven Hundred Eastern Caribbean Dollars (EC$374,700.00).
No arrests have been made, however, investigations into the matter are ongoing.
