Grenada’s Attorney-at-Law, Ruggles Ferguson, weighs in on the most talked-about issue of local employers demanding employees to get vaccinated or put their jobs on the line.
Following the Ministry of Health’s vaccination programme with the onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve heard a number of companies stating that it’s mandated employees have to get vaccinated in order to continue their employment.
Speaking of the fundamental rights and freedoms’ section of the constitution, the local counsel reiterates that no right is absolute.
Ferguson went further to state that in the absence of a law giving support to such policy decisions such actions by employers are unlawful.
