The ministry of health is seeking a major uptake in the inoculation of citizens here, in its efforts to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.
Speaking during the Ministry of Health’s television programme “The Next Chapter” Senior Community Health Nurse, Audrey Lyons, says the push for the populace to get vaccinated is ever so more necessary now, with the recent discovery of the Delta variant here.
Nurse Lyons says they have noticed a drawback because of people accessing snippets of misinformation about the vaccine on social media.
Nurse Lyons attributes this as one of the key reasons for what is labeled as vaccine hesitancy and a low vaccine uptake, which still opens up the Nation to the deadly risk of COVID-19.
She’s directing Grenadians to credible sites where they can get the correct information about the COVID-19 vaccines.
