A Public Message From The Financial Intelligence Unit Of Grenada – Ponzi Scheme

0

The Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of Grenada is actively investigating a suspected Ponzi scheme that has led to serious financial losses for individuals across the country.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Members of the public were promised high returns on their investments.
  • • They were encouraged to recruit others, with a promise of earning more through referrals.
  • This is a classic sign of a Ponzi scheme, where new investors’ money is used to pay earlier ones — not from real profits.

Stay Safe:

  • Be suspicious of any investment promising guaranteed or unusually high returns. • Avoid schemes that depend on you recruiting others to earn money. • Do your research and verify any investment opportunity before handing over your money.

If you believe you or someone you know may have been affected, please report it  immediately.

Contact the FIU:

  • Phone: 435-2373
  • Email: gdafiu@fiu.gov.gd

Together, let’s protect our community.

Stay alert. Ask questions. Don’t fall for too-good-to-be-true offers.
