Akim Frank accused of killing Canadian national Linnea Veinotte in 2015, will spend the next 21 years and 8 months of his life behind bars.
That was the sentence handed down to him this afternoon in the St. Georges high court by high court Judge, Paula Gilford.
Frank, a resident of Jean Anglais, St. George’s, was initially charged with non-capital murder but struck a deal with State Prosecutors for a lesser sentence of Manslaughter.
The cause of Veinotte’s death was described as blunt force trauma to the chest and lower limb due to a vehicular accident.
