Another recorded on account of the Coronavirus.   

This is according to the latest report published by the Ministry of Health.  

It brings to 226, the number of persons who have met their fate, due to COVID-19, since the virus was detected here 2 years ago.  

73 new cases have been identified out of 527 tests conducted by officials of the Ministry of Health, accounting for a test positivity rate of 13.9%.  

This brings the total confirmed cases to 17,556.  

768 is the number of active cases on record currently.  

There have been 196 recoveries, with the total recoveries now moving to 16,562.  

8 persons are currently hospitalized because of COVID-19,  6 severely ill and 2 on the critical list.    

The fully vaccinated population jumps to 34.2%.  

38,565 persons are recorded as having received two doses of vaccine.  

5,244 persons are recorded as having received 1 dose.  

As it relates to booster doses, some 6,606 have been administered to date.  

Dr. Tyiesha Donald, the Director of Medical Services, continues encouraging citizens to see vaccination as the ideal ingredient for the greater protection of oneself from being severely affected by COVID-19.
