Reports have come in about an armed robbery at the Cooperative Bank branch in Carriacou this afternoon.
It’s understood that the individuals entered the bank toting guns and demanded money.
They are said to have made off with an undisclosed sum of cash.
The police, we are told were alerted, and there’s been a chase but the bandits apparently escaped on the waters.
Police investigations are continuing.
No one was harmed.
Unconfirmed reports are that the robbers have been captured by members of the Grenada Coast Guard.
