Grenada is among several Caribbean Islands participating in this year’s “Exercise Tradewinds 2022”.
This year’s event which commenced May 7 runs through to May 21 and is co-hosted by Belize, along with Mexico.
The event is a joint security forces and interagency exercise sponsored by the United States Southern Command.
Apart from Grenada, other CARICOM countries participating include Trinidad and Tobago, Antigua/Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Guyana, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Jamaica, St Kitts/Nevis, Suriname and St. Lucia.
Belizean Prime Minister, John Briceño, underscores the importance of the exercise.
