Debate in The House of Representatives on the 2024 went into its third day today, with the country’s economy, corresponding sectors and constituencies under the microscope.

With much concern these days about the health system and its inadequacies, the Leader of Government Business, Phillip Telesford, blamed the previous Government, and said health was inherited in poor state.

He went further to say that they are on the way to having preliminary operations in the construction of a teaching hospital.

Opposition MP and one-time Health Minister, Dr. Clarice Modeste, noted that the NDC Government’s management of the Health Sector is one of its broken promises, which was not in line with what was budgeted for.

On another note, Dr. Modeste outlined her views on the increase in emoluments for MP’s.
