With debate continuing in the Senate today on the 2024 Budget, the Business representative, Salim Rahaman, gives the thumbs up to the 1.656 billion-dollar package.

He describes it as a spending budget. 

Looking at the minimum wage issue, Rahaman says this has generated a lot of conversation within the business community.

Rahaman looked at minimum wage generally in accordance with productivity, productivity being great concern.

Rahaman noted a serious challenge for business as it concerns trade in perishable items, in particular, and the efficiency of dispatch by customs.
