Christians will later today lit cemeteries as families and friends who lost loved ones overtime celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints, a Christian somberness observed in honor of all the saints, known and unknown.
The custom falls in line with Christian tradition where candles will be lit at gravesides, paying reverence to those who have taken up their place in the Great Beyond.
Fr. Patrick Alexander speaking during Good News catholic Communications programme today explains the observance.
Speaking to the significance of today’s occasion, Fr. Alexander reminds the Christian community to persevere in the belief and practices of Christianity.
