The Spicemas Corporation (S.M.C) has a new Chief
Executive Officer (C.E.O) at the helm.
Minister responsible for Culture Hon. Ron Redhead has announced the appointment of Mr. Cecil Noel, as the new C.E.O.
Mr. Noel’s appointment took effect today.
He replaces former Chairman Mr. Kelvin Jacob, who opted out of a contract renewal back in January.
Noel says and I quote “I have accepted the offer to become the new Chairman of the S.M.C and I look forward to working with Government and stakeholders involved in Spicemas, to ensure the festival is one of very high standards” unquote.
The Minister for Culture, in congratulating the new Chairman said, quote “I look forward to working with our team of directors to bring new ideas forward, continue to provide a wonderful Carnival experience for locals and visitors, and most importantly, look to bring Spicemas into a new era” unquote.
Spicemas 2023 will be officially launched on Friday, 28th April, at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium.
