Chairman Of The Covid-19 Advisory Committee Dr Bert Brathwaite Resigns

The Chairman of the COVID-19 advisory committee has called it a day.

In a telephone interview with Wee Fm News desk this afternoon, Dr. Bert Brathwaite confirmed that he has resigned.

He served on the committee for roughly one year.

Dr. Brathwaite however did not disclose the reason or reasons for his resignation, saying he wants the focus to stay on the serious issues the country is dealing with at this time as it relates to COVID-19.

Dr. Brathwaite says with the drop in active cases over the past few days, individuals are beginning to drop their guard and according to him that spells a recipe for disaster.

Dr. Brathwaite warns that the issue of COVID-19 is far from over.
