The grounds of the Botanic Gardens are now home to ten new saplings, planted by team members of CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank, which is celebrating its 100th Anniversary in the Caribbean region.

It is hoped that the trees will serve as a reminder of the institution for an equal amount of years to come!

The Ministry of Agriculture, Lands and Forestry noted that it was pleased to partner with the bank in planting the trees, which it considers as being special.

CIBC FirstCaribbean Country Manager, Andre Cadogan, noted that though COVID-19 continues to impact on the ability to have any huge celebrations, they still found some meaningful ways to mark the occasion in a safe manner across the Bank’s 16 territories.

The bank says it continues to encourage its clients in the move towards paperless statements and the use of online services, such as mobile and internet banking, to assist in the elimination of paper-based products traditionally used to facilitate banking services.
