The traffic department of the Royal Grenada Police Force is advising the public, and, particularly motorists, that the Lance Bridge (St. John) will be closed to vehicular traffic from tomorrow Tuesday 23rd February, 2021.

This is for approximately one week.

The RGPF says the closure is necessary to accommodate much-needed repairs to the expansion joints on the Lance Bridge.

The work entails the removal and cleaning of existing joints and replacement of new materials and resurfacing.

Preliminary work commenced on the weekend, but closure is only necessary from tomorrow.

The Traffic Department apologizes for any inconvenience caused.

As a result of the closure, vehicles travelling from St. George direction will make a right turn at the intersection of Central and St. Peters Streets, continuing unto St. Peters Street, then make a left turn unto the Hubble Bridge, continue toward Middle River, make a left turn unto Central Gouyave Estate, down Langton Road, unto Stony

Gut Road and exit on Dr. Belle Road towards Maran.

Vehicles travelling from Maran direction will enter Upper Depradine Street, make a left turn unto Hills View Road, a right turn unto Edward Street, a left turn unto Langton Road toward Central Gouyave Estate, then a right turn unto Middle River towards the Hubble Bridge, a right turn unto St. Peters Street and exit on Lower Depradine Street in the direction of St. George.
