The Ministry of Education has sent out notice informing the public that there will be no school on Election Day, June 23, 2022.
The ministry says it should also be noted that schools that are examination centers will be opened for the administration of CXC Examinations, which are scheduled for that day.
Additionally, due to electoral requirements, it will not be possible for some schools to function as examination centers on Election Day.
In light of this, CXC candidates at those schools will be accommodated at alternative venues.
The schools that will be affected are Anglican High, Boca Secondary, Grenville Secondary, St. Mark’s Secondary, and Westerhall Secondary.
Candidates Scheduled to write exams at the Anglican High has been moved to the Grenada Boys’ Secondary, Boca Secondary will be at Wesley College, Grenville Secondary will now be accommodated at the St. Joseph’s Convent St. Andrew, St. Mark’s Secondary will be at St. Rose Modern Secondary and Westerhall Secondary will be at the St. David’s Catholic Secondary.
Principals of the named schools have been asked to ensure that all candidates, to whom this change applies, are duly informed.
The temporary arrangement is only for Election Day.
