The general public is being notified that the top Belmont Road in the area of the Maxi Mart will be closed for some two weeks, as of this Sunday.
This, according to the Ministry of Infrastructure, is that it’s planning to commence work on the section of the road linking Belmont to Jean Anglais, St. George.
In this regard, the road will be closed for two weeks beginning Sunday up to the 7th of March.
It’s to facilitate the construction of a cross culvert and adjoining inverts to improve the drainage in the area.
Residents in the area and the public at large are advised to make use of Dixie Road or the Jean Anglais road as an alternative route, to minimize delays, when traversing the area. Trucks and other large vehicles are also advised to use alternative routes to and from the area.
