ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA – At the Child Protection Authority, our hearts always hurt to learn of the death of a child, especially at the hand of another minor or young person. In instances like these, everyone is affected; families, communities and members of society, on a whole, mourn not only the loss of life of one but the loss of freedom of the other.
While no words we express can undo this tragedy or decrease the pain, we are committed to continue advocating against all forms of abuse affecting our children and youth. As signatories to the Convention of the Rights of the Child, every citizen must understand that life is a fundamental right that is to be respected and protected.
We therefore, urge all to work together to support the protection, rather than the destruction, of our nation’s children.
