THE 2021 CXC Examinations got underway in earnest today in Grenada and other regional territories.
Based on circumstances that have been affecting the region on account of COVID-19, enthusiasm of students with the start of the exams run high.
And, in this regard, Registrar and CEO of the Caribbean Examinations Council, Dr. Wayne Wesley, has released a video message for candidates, parents, guardians and teachers.
CXC earlier this year issued a statement on the 2021 Regional Examinations, cognizant, it says, of the many challenges across the region at this time, including the debilitating impact of COVID-19 on all areas of society, and all stakeholders operating within the education sector.
This, it reveals, was coupled with the explosive volcanic activity on La Soufrière in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Dr. Wesley wished candidates all the best for pulling through the challenges of the past year.
Dr. Wesley gives the students a gentle reminder of the health protocols that are in place.
