As preparation goes into full swing for the observance of Grenada’s 49thIndependence celebration, co-ordinator of the National awards ceremony Jacqueline Alexis says, the deadline for nomination is the 19th of this month.
The National Celebrations Committee recently made a call for the submission of names of Grenadians who have either made a significant contribution to nation building, or had a personal achievement so they can be recognized during the celebrations this year.
Alexis says the awards ceremony will be incorporated into the rally carded for February 7 at the National Stadium.
Alexis says the submission must include a citation statement on the achievement, along with contact details for both the nominee and nominator.
