Deputy Chair of the Opposition New National Party, Dr. Clarice Modeste, issues the political organization’s concern about the state of crime in recent times.
Recorded homicides to date are reportedly more compared to this period last year.
Speaking at a News Conference yesterday, Dr. Modeste, the Member of Parliament for St. Mark, mentioned the vital need for the safety and security which Grenada is known for to be maintained.
Dr. Modeste says years ago under the NNP administration the trend of gangs stepped into the picture and the crime rate appeared escalating but plans that were all-encompassing were initiated to stem the scourge.
She admonishes the Dickon Mitchell-led administration to implement plans forthwith to deal with today’s situation, before it gets out of control.
