The Ministry Of Education today began its distribution of e-Learning devices to kindergarten students and Grade 6 students retained from CPEA Exams in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
Parents are being reminded payments of administrative fees for the devices are to be made at the Inland Revenue Department or its sub-offices island-wide.
Parents with children in the School Books Programme are required to pay 25 dollars, whilst those who are not, must pay a sum of 50 dollars.
According to a release, to collect the devices, parents must present the receipt to the school, as proof of payment, along with a valid photo ID (passport, driver’s license, voters ID or a NIS card) and they will also be required to sign the e-learning Device User Agreement.
The school that a child attends will advise of the allotted time slot for device distribution, which will be based on the grade of the child.
The e-Learning devices are part of the Ministry of Education’s blended learning approach, which will be used when schools reopen in a phased process Monday, 1st November 2021.
