The Authentic Caribbean Foundation made a sizeable donation of 460 backpacks and stationery donated by the Authentic Caribbean Foundation to the education sector and, more specifically, to primary school students at the Ministry of Education on Oct. 20.

Deputy Chief Education Officer for school administration and management, Kathy-Ann James, presented backpacks to several education officers, who will distribute the backpacks to primary schools across the country, where principals will hand them over to the students.

The Authentic Caribbean Foundation is a non-profit organisation out of Boston. The founder is Mr. Andrew Sharpe, a native of Jamaica. Mr. Sharpe’s focus is on transforming the lives of children with disabilities within the Caribbean and working with caregivers as well as educators.
