The acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Francis Martin, who tendered his resigned from the job last Friday, says he’s moving on to clinical practice.
This forms the crux of his reasons which he outlined to reporters today at another in the Government’s series of Post Cabinet Briefings.
Dismissing comments which paraded via social media on the weekend surrounding his resignation, Dr. Martin says it was a personal choice for him but gave the assurance he’ll continue to serve the people of Grenada.
Dr. Martin says he never thought that his transitioning from being the Acting PS in the Ministry of Health into clinical practice will cause such uproar.

Health Minister, Nikolas Steele, was speaking at the Post Cabinet Briefing this morning.
Speaking about the country’s vaccination programme, Steele claims it’s time to step up the campaign.
Meanwhile, the Health Minister tells Dr. Martin thanks for his yeoman service over the years.
Minister Steele indicated that he met Dr. Martin 7 years ago when he began his journey in the Ministry of Health.
Steele, in his farewell note, pointed out that Dr. Martin was very instrumental in the Ministry’s fight against COVID-19 and congratulated him on his next move
