The 38th earth tremor to be recorded in the region this year, January 1 to June 25, was felt in St. Vincent and the Grenadines today.

There were differing view among the populace as to who felt it and who didn’t.

The tremor was noted by the UWI Seismic Research Centre in Trinidad at 3.8 magnitude, at around 2 o’clock this morning, southwest of St. Vincent and the Grenadines

It was located at 12.67 North longitude and 62.44 West Latitude., and at a depth of 110 kilometres.

Based on statistics, it’s the 19th tremor to have been recorded in the OECS sub-region.

The last time a tremor was recorded felt here in Grenada was on 2nd April this year, with a magnitude of 3.9, South East of Grenada, at a depth of 97 kilometres.

Relative Vincent and the Grenadines today, there have been no deaths or injuries.
