Grenadians are to be involved in a survey that will allow ECTEL, the governing body surrounding telecommunications in the sub-region to ascertain information on (ICT) in the country.
The survey is being conducted by Data Point Solutions Inc., which will seek information about access, use and affordability of (ICT) and broadband products and services here.
It will also be conducted in four other ECTEL contracting States, Dominica, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and St. Kitts/Nevis.
The survey, we understand, began in St. Kitts/Nevis close to the end of last month.
It aims to target a total of 3,500 households and 8,750 individuals in ECTEL’s Contracting States and will be administered via an online questionnaire, digital surveys, face-to-face interviews and/or telephone surveys.
Field personnel will be in uniform, and in possession of identification cards, as well as a letter from ECTEL explaining the purpose of the survey.
ECTEL sees the project as being critical towards the path of success in digitally transforming economies of Contracting States, with no one being left behind, especially the most vulnerable and marginalized groups.
