The importance of coconut cannot be over-emphasized for people here in the region!
That’s the view of one of the experts in the industry, Dr. Wayne Myrie of Jamaica, now here in Grenada facilitating in the week-long Regional Coconut Training and Exhibition.
He did indicate at the opening of the exercise yesterday that the industry presents the avenue for a comfortable life for farmers who are involved.
Dr. Myrie says coconut is goodness in a nutshell and feels there’s need for regional networking for the greater sustainability of the Industry.
