Sad news today engulfed the Wee FM camp learning of a fire which gutted the home of News Producer, Sheena Phillip-Lynch at Madey’s, St. Patrick.
Sheena was already at work on the early morning shift when she got news of the fire.
To her, hearing how it began was a mystery.
Police have been investigating and have come up with the conclusion that it may have started by a transformer which usually powers a refridgerator.
One individual working with a weed-eater in the yard in the immediate vicinity spoke of hearing an explosion.
No one was at home at the time of the blaze.
The structure was completely gutted.
Members of the fire department are reported to have responded to a distress call and found the house already ablaze.
Police investigations continue.
We spoke with Sheena this afternoon, and like in such circumstances she’s been finding it hard to come to grips with her losses.
