FISCAL RESILIENCE OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE OUTLINES CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT AS THE KEY DRIVER TO SURPLUS ON THE COUNTRY’S EXTERNAL CAPITAL ACCOUNT IN 2023

An outline of the Grenada economy in 2023 shows there’s been a surplus on the country’s capital account on the external sector which has widened.

This formed part of the synopsis given this morning at a meeting of the Fiscal Resilience Oversight Committee.

Economist, Leon Bullen, says the key driver in this regard falls within the ambit of the Citizenship by Investment Programme.

As it relates to the primary and overall surplus, Bullen says, it’s attributed to the inclusion of CBI inflows under non-tax revenues.
