Fishers Urged To Register With The Fisheries Division Prior To Setting Up Mari Culture Farms

The Ministry Of Fisheries has sent out notice urging Sea Moss Cultivation Fishers and other types of mari-culture that they must first be registered with the Fisheries Division prior to setting up their sea moss farms or any other mari-culture plots along the coast of Grenada.

This, the Fisheries division says will allow it to efficiently implement site selection and spatial planning for their farms and plots.

Farmers and other Mari-culturists are also reminded that failure to seek approval from the Division, prior to establishing their farms or Mariculture plots, could result in the removal by the Authorities.

Registration forms can be obtained at the Fisheries Division office, Melville Street, or at any of the state-owned Fish Markets between 8am and 4pm.
