Fogging Operations of The Ministry of Health move to the deep South as of Wednesday and operation will be conducted there for the entire week.
The Ministry of Health says this is in an effort to reduce the incidence of dengue fever and other mosquito-borne infection.
Wednesday, fogging teams will be at the Point Salines area and environs, including Dr. Grooms and the SSU Camp, as of 5 in the afternoon.
Thursday, the fogging team moves to Upper Calliste and Environs, starting the same time and also at 5pm on Friday, operations will be in the area of Lower Calliste and environs, including Foxx Inn and environs.
The Ministry of Health says the fogging operation is in response to numerous complaints of mosquito infestation.
It is advising residents in the scheduled areas to be vigilant in ensuring their surroundings are free of mosquito-breeding sites.
