Fogging Operations Of the Ministry of Health will be in a number of communities over the next couple days. 

According to the Vector Control Division of the Ministry of Health the fogging operation is in an effort to reduce the incidence of dengue fever and other mosquito-borne infection.

Today, fogging teams will be in Mt. La Borie, as well as Morne Jaloux and Bottom Lesterre in Carriacou.

Tomorrow, the team moves to Darbeau, St. George.

Thursday June 15 the team will be in the La Digue area in St. Andrew and Friday June 16 Mt. Gay, St. George.

Fogging operations will be conducted 5 each afternoon.

The Ministry of Health says the fogging operation is in response to numerous complaints of mosquito infestation.

It’s advising residents in the scheduled areas to be vigilant in ensuring their surroundings are free of mosquito-breeding sites.
